Key Changer Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Summary

Key Changer does not transmit personal information, audio, microphone recordings, camera images, chord sheets, or usage data to the developer or third parties.

The App does not require an account and does not use advertising, tracking, analytics, or third-party data-collection SDKs. Its audio analysis, transposition, and optical character recognition operate on your device.

2. Audio Files and Microphone Recordings

• Selected audio files: The App accesses only files you choose through the system file picker. It creates an app-private local copy to support playback, key detection, and transposition. These files never leave your device.
• Microphone recordings: When you choose Start Listening, the App records a short audio sample for local key and tempo analysis. The temporary recording is deleted after analysis or when listening is canceled.
• Exported audio: A transposed file is created locally and is shared or saved only when you choose a destination using Apple's system controls.

3. Camera, Images, and Chord Sheets

• Real-time scanner: Camera frames are analyzed on your device to recognize chord text. They are not sent to the developer or third parties.
• Snapshots: Photos taken inside the App are processed locally. The App exports a rendered image only when you choose to share or save it.
• Imported documents: The App accesses only the PDFs or images you select. It uses temporary app-private copies while recognizing and transposing chords.

4. Preferences and Permissions

The App stores a small number of app-only preferences on your device, such as OCR display and camera zoom settings. These preferences do not identify you and are not transmitted.

Camera and microphone access are requested only when you use a feature that needs them. You can review or revoke either permission at any time in the iOS Settings app. File access is granted through Apple's system file picker and is limited to items you select.

5. Data Sharing and Tracking

Key Changer does not sell, rent, share, or disclose your data. The App does not track you across apps or websites and does not contact advertising or analytics services.

6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Temporary microphone recordings are deleted after use. Temporary OCR inputs and generated exports are placed in app-managed temporary storage and may remain there until iOS removes them.

App-private copies of selected audio files may remain on your device so the App can continue working with them. A later import with the same file name replaces the previous copy, and deleting the App removes its stored copies. Files that you save or share outside the App are controlled by you and the destination you selected.

7. Children's Privacy

Key Changer does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
