LetterGeist Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how LetterGeist ("the App") handles information when you use it.

1. Information We Collect

LetterGeist does not require an account and does not collect personal information for the developer.

The App does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs that collect data.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

LetterGeist stores game settings, player names, statistics, and word-pack progress locally on your device so they can be available the next time you play.

This information is not transmitted to the developer or synchronized to a developer-operated server. You can reset statistics and word-pack progress within the App. Removing the App ordinarily removes its locally stored game information from your device.

3. Two-Player Games

Answers and hints entered for a two-player game are used only for that match. They are not saved as part of the App's persistent settings and are not sent to the developer or to the online dictionary service.

4. Optional Dictionary Requests

LetterGeist can request a definition from Free Dictionary when you choose to look up a hint or word detail in a single-player game. The request sends the current single-player answer to Free Dictionary. It does not include your player names, settings, statistics, or two-player answers.

Free Dictionary may receive standard network information associated with the request, such as your IP address. Its handling of that information is governed by its own practices. LetterGeist remains playable without using online definitions.

5. Data Security

LetterGeist keeps its settings, player names, statistics, and word-pack progress in the App's storage on your device. Optional dictionary requests use an encrypted HTTPS connection.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
